and applying it to how we live today.

About Yoga:

Yoga is an ancient and complete system of health and well being that was developed over 4,000 years ago.  Unlike other types of Western exercises, Yoga developes all three important elements to complete health:  physical body, mind, and spirit.  A regular yoga practice can help reduce the physical effects of stress and aging on the body, increase muscle tone and flexibility, lower blood pressure, and leave you with an overall sense of calm and well being.

Anyone can practice yoga, but please note the following:

  • Dress in comfortable, loose clothing that allows you to move freely
  • Do not eat a big meal prior to class.  Light food or drink an hour before is okay.
  • Always consult your physician before starting yoga or any exercise program.

Yoga

Yoga is not about the pose.
It's not the alignment of
toes or hips or shoulders.
It's not about the form.

Yoga is an invitation to explore,
not a command performance.
It speaks the language of the soul.

In the flow of breath and motion,
yoga coaxes us from the confines of the known,
across the silent threshold into vastness.

Yoga is the union of prayer and movement,
guided from inside.
It is healing and the joy of saying yes to life.

Breathe, relax and feel the body receive it's own truth.
The seed of freedom flowers within each of us
whenever we are open to what is real.

Christian Yoga Be Still, and Know that I am God” Psalm 46

The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root “yuj” meaning to bind, to join, or to connect.  As such, the ultimate goal of Christian Yoga is to join or to connect with the Devine Being of our Christian Faith, Jesus Christ.  Traditional yoga postures are presented in a scriptural context.  Christian Yoga is the body at prayer and is a foundation for physical, mental and spiritual well being.

 Yoga Fore Golf
Because your most important piece of equipment is not in your bag, it’s your body.

Yoga is the perfect compliment to the game of golf.  When you combine a flexible body with a relaxed and focused mind you can reduce the chance of injury, maximize performance and make playing the game of golf more enjoyable.

 Office Yoga
The fast-paced, no-time, meeting after meeting reality of today’s workplace is increasing physical and mental stress, not to mention the physical discomfort that can arise from too many hours of sitting and repetitive motion.  Office yoga is a 35 minute program that can be done around a conference room table.  Postures are modified to fit the work environment and stretches the body from head to toe.  Perfect for staff appreciation days.  Give your employees something that can help them improve their health and wellbeing as well as their productivity.
